The task
The task was to create an application for the made-up vegan café Gröna mackan. The application was intended to contain multiple smart functions for ordering food in the Umeå area. Sustainability, climate thinking, and customer focus were the company’s keywords. A logotype, icon, graphic profile, and concept ideas were also part of the task.
The process
During this project, I had the role as project leader and designer. The work was initialized by laying out a strategy and a time schedule since the time was limited. A mood board was created to make sure all group members were in synch about the feeling that the application and concept were going to bring about. A graphic profile and logotype were created from the mood board. Before the final prototype was designed, the group created wireframes.
The final result
The final result was a prototype of a youthful application with soft shapes and colors that are comfortable to the eye. We used simple icons and made sure to keep consistency in the appearance of clickable elements for user-friendliness. The application fulfills its purpose and matches the keywords and values of the company.
